13.12.2003: Meldung: Solar Energy Systems ranked number 160 of leading technology companies

Solar Energy Systems Ltd today announced that it ranked Number 160 in the 2003 Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Asia Pacific Technology Fast 500. The program is a ranking of the leading technology companies across the Asia Pacific region based on percentage revenue growth over a period of 3 years. Solar Energy Systems Ltd grew 129 percent during this period. This year, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu has identified the Next 250 companies, following the launch of the program in Asia Pacific in 2002.

Solar Energy Systems Ltd"s Managing Director, Anthony Maslin, credits the exceptional efforts of staff and appropriate technologies with the company"s 129% revenue growth over the past three years. He said, ""We believe SES"s Sun Mill solar pumps are the most sustainable water pumping solution for pumping water in remote areas, clearly this result shows Australian farmers support this opinion. Whilst having the right product is a start, the real thing that matters is commercialising that product, for which I would like to thank all of our staff for their exceptional efforts in achieving the growth of the last three years."

The winning companies came from new and established businesses and from across Asia Pacific and industry sectors. Mr. Ian Thatcher ,Lead Partner Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Asia Pacific Technology Fast 500, said: "To succeed in today"s Asia Pacific technology markets, companies need to be not only customer-focus, but have the ability to adapt to changes and new technologies". As part of the Asia Pacific Technology Fast 500, Deloitte asked winning companies what the key issues and challenges facing their business are, as well as their forecast staffing level. The findings show that nearly one third of the CEOs regard growth management is their current biggest challenge. Also 84 percent of CEOs are forecasting an increase in headcount in the coming year, with 42 percent of such companies intimating headcount increases of greater than 20 percent.
