14.1.2004: Meldung: FuelCell Energy Announces New Member of Board

George K. Petty has joined the board of directors of FuelCell Energy, Inc., Mr. Petty is a corporate director of Enbridge Energy Management, L.L.C. and Enbridge, Inc., leaders in the energy transportation and distribution in North America and internationally. Mr. Petty is currently a business consultant providing executive management consulting services to the telecommunications industry.

The appointment of Mr. Petty is an addition to FuelCell Energy"s board and brings the total number of directors to 12.

Mr. Petty is a former president and chief executive officer of Telus Corporation, a Canadian telecommunications company. Before assuming the leadership at Telus in 1994, he was vice president of Global Business Services for AT&T and chairman of the board of World Partners, the Global Telecom Alliance. Mr. Petty is also a past corporate director of CAE Incorporated, a Canada-based provider of integrated training solutions and advanced simulation and controls technologies to civil aviation, military and marine customers. He is also a past member of the Board of Governors of the University of Calgary, the Business Council of British Columbia and the Business Council on National Issues.

In November 2003, Enbridge became a distributor of FuelCell Energy Direct FuelCell(R) power plants in Canada.
