19.1.2004: Meldung: Transmeta has been issued ISO 9001:2000 certification

Transmeta Corporation, the leader in efficient computing, today announced as part of its continuing corporate quality program, Transmeta has been issued ISO 9001:2000 certification by Det Norske Veritas (DNV), an accredited third-party registrar of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). By receiving the ISO 9001:2000 certification, Transmeta is recognized for providing industry-level quality and service, and can ensure customer confidence in their decision to partner with Transmeta. The ISO 9001:2000 standard is designed to consider all important processes affecting quality, from the internal review of contracts received from customers, to the packaging and delivery of the finished product. The intent of the standard is to provide a universal baseline for quality management that can be used by companies around the world. The success of this idea is evident; ISO 9000 has become the most widely used quality management system in the world.
This ISO 9001:2000 quality standard shows that Transmeta places greater accountability on both executive management involvement and measurable quality objectives. In obtaining the ISO 9001:2000, Transmeta has demonstrated its ability to consistently provide product that meets customer and applicable regulatory requirements. Furthermore, certification demonstrates that Transmeta aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of its quality management system, including processes for continual improvement of the system as well as assurance of conformity to customer and applicable regulatory requirements.
"Transmeta has always been dedicated to deliver the highest quality products through our internal quality management system processes. We are proud that our processes have been found compliant and stood up to the scrutiny of the ISO 9001:2000 certification standard," said Dr. Matthew R. Perry, president and CEO of Transmeta. "In obtaining the ISO 9001:2000 certification, it shows the industry that our internal processes have been validated by DNV, which shows the predictability of our internal operations and the ability to meet various future customer requirements."
