19.5.2005: Meldung: Spire Solar to Provide PA.SOL Italia S.p.A. with a PV Module Line
Spire Corporation today announced that it has entered into a contract to provide PA.SOL Italia S.p.A. of Varallo Pombia, Italy, with Spire"s advanced photovoltaic ("PV") module manufacturing production line including automated equipment for solar cell stringing and lay-up, lamination, and module testing. PA.SOL selected Spire Corporation as their equipment supplier based on Spire"s superior experience, the quality of its equipment, and its proven ability to provide training assistance to build the business. Delivery is scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2005.
PA.SOL was recently formed by local private investors in order to initiate local PV module manufacturing to address the growing solar market in Italy and other parts of Europe.
Mr. Roger G. Little, CEO and Chairman of Spire Corporation, said, "Spire is pleased to be awarded this contract by PA.SOL; once again the quality of our equipment combined with the proven success of our technology makes Spire the preferred contractor for new ventures entering into the PV industry."
