Wild Oats to Hire Up to 125 Employees for New Carmel Store

Job Fair to Be Held August 20-21 in Carmel, Ind.

CARMEL, Ind., Aug. 18 / -- Wild Oats Markets, Inc. (Nasdaq: OATS - News), a leading national natural and organic foods retailer, announced plans to hire up to 125 full and part-time employees in its new Carmel, Ind. store, scheduled to open in mid-October 2004.

The company"s job fair will be held August 20 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., and again August 21 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Applicants should apply in person at the Hampton Inn at 12197 Meridian Street, in Carmel, Ind.

Wild Oats plans to hire employees over the next two months to ensure the new store, located at 14598 Clay Terrace Blvd. in the Clay Terrace Center, is fully staffed for its grand opening in October. Positions are available across all levels of expertise, ranging from produce clerks and cashiers, to assistant managers. Previous grocery experience is not a requirement for employment at Wild Oats.
