Baumann joins Freddie Mac having served as partner, deputy chairman of the World Financial Services Practice, and as global banking leader for PricewaterhouseCoopers. During his 30- year career at PwC, his clients have included some of the largest financial services firms in North America, including Chase Manhattan, Chemical Bank, Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Prudential Insurance and The World Bank.
As PwC"s lead partner for each of these clients, Baumann has led numerous projects in risk management, infrastructure development and internal controls. Baumann is also well known to the banking industry for his leadership role with respect to credit loss accounting issues.
Baumann earned a B.A. in accounting from Queens College and an MBA, Finance from Baruch College. He also completed the Executive Program in Business Administration at Columbia University, and is a certified public accountant (CPA).
