WorldWater and Kern County Farm Bureau Inaugurate 350 hp Solar Compressor Pump in San Joaquin Valley

EDISON, Calif.--Oct. 23, 2003--The world"s largest solar pump was introduced today at a ceremony at the Lehr Brothers Inc. Big L Packing facility near Bakersfield. The unit operates a 350 hp hydracooler for processing potatoes at Lehr Brothers. The event, hosted by WorldWater Corp. (OTC BB:WWAT) and the Kern Country Farm Bureau, was attended by local and state dignitaries, including members of the California State Assembly and Senate, the Bakersfield City Council, the Board of Supervisors, the San Joaquin Valley Air Pollution Control District and PG&E.
The Lehr Brothers" 350 hp compressor pump is part of a proprietary, state-of-the-art grid-tied solar system designed and installed by WorldWater Corp. to reduce energy costs and provide alternative power in the event of a grid power outage or power reduction.

"This is going to help create a general improvement in the air quality in this area," said Carsten Bethge, WorldWater"s Vice President for Sales.
The event showcased WorldWater"s AquaMax(TM) hybrid solar pumping system, which works in automatic combination with the electric grid to power the compressor from either the solar array or the electrical grid, or from both sources if necessary. The 120 kW system features two solar arrays totaling over 10,000 square feet, which also provide a shaded parking structure for farm equipment.
WorldWater Corp. is an international solar engineering and water management company with unique, high-powered solar technology providing solutions to water supply and energy problems.
