2.6.2003: Meldung: Starbucks Results in May

Starbucks Corporation (Nasdaq:SBUX - News) today reported consolidated net revenues of $319 million for the four-week period ended May 25, 2003, an increase of 23 percent from consolidated net revenues of $260 million for the same period in fiscal 2002. On a comparable store sales basis (stores open for at least 13 months), sales at Company-operated stores increased 7 percent for the four weeks ended May 25, 2003, as compared to the same four-week period in fiscal 2002. This performance is particularly strong given the 10 percent comparable store sales growth reported in May 2002, which was the highest monthly comparable store sales growth in the prior fiscal year.

For the 34 weeks ended May 25, 2003, consolidated net revenues were $2.6 billion, an increase of 23 percent from consolidated net revenues of $2.1 billion for the same period in fiscal 2002. Comparable store sales increased 8 percent for the 34 weeks ended May 25, 2003, as compared to the same 34 weeks in fiscal 2002.
