Renewable Energy Holdings plc ("REH" or the "Company"), the AIM listed investor in, and operator of, proven and innovative renewable energy technologies, is pleased to announce that it has entered into a Collaboration Agreement with Consensus Business Group ("Consensus").
The Collaboration Agreement aims at accelerating REH"s development of its business plan to own and operate renewable energy assets in the UK and Europe. Terms of the Collaboration Agreement include Consensus having the first opportunity to provide funding to REH"s future joint ventures, both through debt and/or equity to assist REH"s business roll out, as well as for offset obligations and trading opportunities for green emission credits.
Vincent Tchenguiz, Chairman of Consensus, said:
"Consensus has access to the technology and financial resources to create a mutually beneficial relationship with REH, enabling it to accelerate the efficient development of it"s business plan. The renewable energy sector is growing rapidly and presents a wealth of opportunities. This Collaboration Agreement will provide REH with the tools and the reach to maximise its market share and create significant value."
Mike Proffitt, Chief Executive of REH said:
"We have developed a significant deal flow and our relationship with Consensus will allow us to maximise these opportunities. We have already earmarked an investment in both the UK and Europe which, if completed, will see Consensus investing £3 million in joint ventures with REH. I am also pleased to say that Vantania Holdings Limited, a company which is ultimately owned by Investec Trust (Guernsey) Limited as Trustees of the Tchenguiz Family Trust, invested £2 million in our latest placing.
