28.3.2008: Meldung: Tetra Tech awarded a $750 million indefinite quantity contract

Tetra Tech, Inc. announced today that ARD, Inc., its recent acquisition, was one of six contractors awarded a $750 million indefinite quantity contract to support the U.S. Agency for International Development’s (USAID) anticorruption and governance efforts worldwide. The contract has a period of performance of five years.

“With our recent acquisition of ARD, Tetra Tech has greatly expanded its ability to advise government agencies on policy and governance framework,” said Dan Batrack, Tetra Tech’s Chairman and CEO. “Tetra Tech has a strong history of providing water and environmental policy support services to governments. A healthy environment and sound governance systems are essential to long-term success in post-conflict zones and in many other strategic or developing areas of the world.”

Under the new USAID program, Encouraging Global Anticorruption and Good Governance Efforts (ENGAGE), Tetra Tech and its team members will help improve transparency and accountability by developing and strengthening systems, institutions, and practices that support governance.

Tetra Tech will assess corruption in countries or regions; design strategic responses to corruption and advise governments on how to carry out anticorruption reforms; and provide or sponsor training for journalists, government officials, and civil society organizations. ENGAGE is USAID’s primary contract vehicle for these types of governance support services.
