Spire Corporation announced today that it has entered into a Teaming Agreement with KUKA Schweissanlagen GmbH, of Augsburg, Federal Republic of Germany, to combine its machine technology to address the growing demand for fully automated large-scale photovoltaic (PV) manufacturing lines.
This Agreement has been made to accelerate the integration of KUKA"s automation expertise with Spire"s expertise in module manufacturing equipment to produce fully automated, high throughput facilities for the expanding PV industry.
Spire and KUKA will present an engineered concept for a fully automated 100 megawatt per year module production line at the Photovoltaic Technology Show 2007 to be held April 4-5, 2007 in Munich, Germany.
