5.4.2006: Meldung: ARISE Signs Letter of Intent to Build a PV Silicon Research Pilot Plant

ARISE Technologies Corporation announced today at a presentation by ARISE CEO, Ian MacLellan at the Photon Academy 3rd Solar Silicon Conference held in Munich, Germany that the University of Waterloo (UW) and ARISE have signed a non-binding Letter of Intent to locate the ARISE photovoltaic silicon research pilot plant on the UW Research + Technology Park located on the University"s North Campus. This is subject to several conditions and ARISE has until September 30, 2006 to complete a definitive agreement.

Ian MacLellan, Vice-Chairman and CEO of ARISE stated that, "We are very pleased with the prospect of returning to the University of Waterloo where we were located from 1997 to 2000. Having close proximity to the new Center for Advanced Photovoltaic Devices and Systems now under construction at UW was a key factor in our decision to locate on the North Campus."
