Evergreen Solar, Inc., a manufacturer of solar power products with its proprietary, low-cost String Ribbon(TM) wafer technology, today filed a Registration Statement on Form S-3 with the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to the resale by selling securityholders of its 4.375% Convertible Subordinated Notes due 2012 (the "Notes"), and the Common Stock issuable upon conversion of the Notes. The Company will not receive any proceeds from the resale of the Notes or the underlying Common Stock.
A registration statement relating to these securities has been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission but has not yet become effective. These securities may not be sold nor may offers to buy be accepted prior to the time the registration statement becomes effective.
