8.2.2008: Meldung: LDK Solar Receives Basic Engineering Phase Package

LDK Solar Co., Ltd., a leading manufacturer of multicrystalline solar wafers, has received the completed Basic Engineering Phase (BEP) package for its Trichlorosilane (TCS) plant at its Xinyu, Jiangxi site from CDI Engineering Solutions, a division of engineering outsourcing leader CDI Corp (NYSE: CDI - News).

The BEP defines the parameters of the plant design and is used to prepare detailed construction drawings. Completion of the TCS BEP package on schedule supports the company"s publicly announced plans to complete construction and reach a production capacity of up to 6,000 metric tons of polysilicon by the end of 2008 and 15,000 metric tons by the end of 2009.

"Completion of the BEP by CDI Engineering on-time and on-budget is an important milestone to reach in the construction of our poly plant as we move forward with our plans to establish in-house polysilicon production," said Mr. Nick Sarno, Senior Vice President of manufacturing.
