Active Power: Multimillion Dollar Follow On Order
Die untenstehende Meldung ist eine Original-Meldung des Unternehmens. Sie ist nicht von der ECOreporter.de-Redaktion bearbeitet. Die presserechtliche Verantwortlichkeit liegt bei dem meldenden Unternehmen.
Active Power, Inc., manufacturer of critical backup power systems and continuous power solutions, received a follow on multimillion dollar order from one of the world’s largest Internet search engine providers for its CleanSource UPS (uninterruptible power supply) systems, totaling nearly 13 megawatts of total rated UPS capacity.
The energy and space efficient flywheel based UPS systems and related equipment will be deployed at one of the customer’s mission critical datacenter facilities located in the United States. All equipment will be shipped by third quarter 2010, with installation to follow soon after.
“White floor space is a premium in a datacenter, particularly in large, multi-megawatt enterprise and collocation facilities,” said Jim Clishem, president and CEO, Active Power. “Our UPS technology is extremely power dense, providing a tremendous amount of critical backup power in a small footprint compared to conventional UPS systems. This means operators can dedicate more space to server equipment to help meet business and IT demands.”
This is the third order from the customer in less than three years with the first order representing nearly 12 megawatts of total rated UPS capacity delivered in late 2008 and the second order for nearly 13 megawatts delivered in late 2009.
