Suzlon S88 V3 and V2 turbines receive updated certifications
Husum (Germany): Suzlon Energy Limited - the world's fifth largest wind turbine maker with 10.5% of global market share*, received updated certifications for the V3 and V2 versions of the S88 - 2.1 MW turbine. The certification comes from Germanischer Lloyd, a certification body in the field of appraisals, certifications and expertises in wind energy, and actively involved in the development of national and international standards. Germanischer Lloyd is accredited to certify in accordance with all relevant standards in the field of wind energy and ocean energy conversion.
Suzlon has in place a thorough and validated certification program for its entire product range, utilizing the expertise of internationally accredited certification bodies such as Germanischer Lloyd. The certifications are part of a continuous and ongoing effort by Suzlon to ensure that all its products meet and exceed global standards for wind turbine design, safety and performance.
These certifications are extensions of existing certifications on the S88 V3 as well as V2 turbine, and are updated with inclusion of alternate makes and variant designs of various components.
The certificates were handed over to Suzlon in a ceremony organized at the Husum Wind Fair in Germany by Mr. Pekka Paasivaara, Member of the Executive Board of Germanischer Lloyd AG.
