CINCINNATI, Ohio -- CECO Environmental Corp. (Nasdaq: CECE), a leading global energy, environmental, and industrial technology company, today announced that Dennis Sadlowski has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Company by the Board of Directors, effective immediately. Mr. Sadlowski has been acting in the role of interim CEO of CECO since January 24, 2017 and has been a member of the Company’s board of directors since May 2016.
“The board, under the leadership of a special search committee and with a nationally recognized executive recruiting firm, conducted a review of both internal and external candidates and determined that Dennis is the best choice for CEO. CECO is very fortunate to have someone with Dennis’ experience, leadership skills and character. During his tenure as interim CEO, Dennis spent considerable time with the Company’s customers, suppliers and employees and has a running start as the permanent CEO to help CECO achieve its strategic and financial goals, including driving increasing shareholder value. On behalf of the entire board and the CECO team, we look forward to Dennis’ leadership in this role,” commented CECO’s Chairman, Jason DeZwirek.
Dennis Sadlowski said, “I am very excited to be selected as the permanent CEO. Mr. Sadlowski, 56, previously held a number of senior leadership roles including CEO of Siemens Energy and Automation, COO of LSG Sky Chefs, and CEO of International Battery. Mr. Sadlowski also previously worked at General Electric and Thomas & Betts. Mr. Sadlowski continues to serve on the board of directors and audit committee of Trojan Battery, a privately-held global leader in deep cycle lead-acid batteries. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical and Nuclear Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley, and his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Seattle University.
