Itron Inc: Gas Meter Contract in Poland

Liberty Lake, Washington - Itron, Inc. announced that it signed a contract with Pomerania Gas Company for the supply of nearly 200,000 residential and commercial gas meters. The meters will be deployed over the next three years by the gas company, one of six gas distribution companies in Poland. Situated in north Poland, Pomerania Gas Company serves approximately 764,000 customers.
Following a formal tender process, Itron was chosen for its market knowledge, industry expertise and reliable gas meters. Itron offered the best product with the right technical specifications to meet the gas company’s requirements.
“We’re proud to work with Pomerania Gas Company to upgrade the gas infrastructure in Poland,” said Zdzislaw Wojdanowski, sales manager for Itron Energy in Poland. “Itron’s field proven gas meters are designed to accurately measure gas over the life of the meter. This product will deliver a solid return on the gas company’s investment for years to come.”
